Thought I’d take this time to talk about the links leading from my blog just so you all know why I’d link to each site.

First off My Homepage. Pretty obvious what that is – just the main page of my whole site. The blog is just a small part of it. I’ll talk more about what’s on my website later though.

Secondly, I’ve linked to a forum all about Horror that I own. I haven’t been properly active since late last year but I’ll go back to it sometime. I can’t thank enough my friend and fellow Admin there, Nina, who has completely designed it and kept it going while I’ve been there and away. I love all the members for taking the time to join up and post – they’re all amazing.

The Honest Networks link leads to the webhost I pay for. Prices are given on the site, although I have a smaller package available through Sitesled (more on that later). The pricing is reasonable and gives me a lot of freedom for a small price. Haven’t used them long but I think they’re excellent and if anyone is going to pay for hosting I’d recommend HN.

Sitesled is a free webhost that I was with before I paid for HN. They’re both run by the same people and so people that go through Sitesled get special hosting packages with HN. No ads, 100MB space, 30GB bandwidth per month, FTP – I only decided to upgrade because I wanted more space, subdomains and some extra options not available for free. For many websites I think Sitesled offers more than enough though.

I’ve been using 1&1 for my domain name for over a year now. I’ve heard a few bad things, but I’ve never had any problems with them personally. I like the features they offer such as one login for all domains you purchase, catch all email forwards, really low cost etc. Never needed or wanted to use another domain registrar anyway.

At one point I’d have never paid to have my email when there were so many free email accounts available, but then I found I needed to send a bigger file than other hosts could handle and thats when I found Runbox. Since then the free email allowances have gone up, but so has Runbox’s. I’ve always found them well priced for what you get with a huge amount of space, bandwidth, features, file storage, etc. I can’t imagine using anything else now. They now handle all my domain email accounts too.

As someone who posts on various messageboards and blogs around the internet, it’s hard not to post images. I’ve used loads of image hosts but usually the space is very limited if you’re not willing to pay. I soon found that it wasn’t worth my time to keep opening various free image hosting accounts and manage them all seperately, so I joined PictureTrail. They offer quite a few yearly packages with so much space that it takes a great deal to fill it all up, thankfully! They’ve been a lifesaver when words just aren’t enough and only a picture will do.

The last link is for a forum host I’ve used. InvisionFree use the powerful Invision software, but without the pricetag. Of course that means it doesn’t have all the features and is supported by ads, but it’s the best free forum host I’ve used, by far. It can be fully customised to your own taste and needs and it feels so professional that I know I end up forgetting that it’s all available for free!
