Thursday just gone I had my last hospital appointment. My last ever appointment (I hope)! The doctor had a look at my foot and it looks like it’s healing well and I was given a x-ray. He showed me how it looked and the pin looks like it’s holding my bone together better than before from what my old x-ray showed.
The doctor said that there’s no reason to remove the wiring or pin unless I start having difficultly walking in the future. They want to avoid another operation in the future if possible.
A friend (he knows who he is) said that he didn’t think they’d be removing the pin, but I’d been given advice by someone on a messageboard that he needed a pin in his wrist and that I should make sure that they remove it when they say they will… Because of this I didn’t know when (or if) the pin would be removed.
Now all I need is a metal detector so I can cause some serious mischief. Mawahahahaaaaa!
I haven’t had to go to the hospital for years and years.
